ABERDEEN, Md. (ABC7) — Authorities said four people were killed and three others were wounded in a workplace shooting in Aberdeen Thursday morning.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Baltimore County woman Snochia Moseley, is among the four dead.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office said they dispatched their deputies to a Rite Aid warehouse in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road around 9:09 a.m. The suspect was a temporary employee.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are on the scene and the FBI deployed a team to respond as well. Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said the suspect apparently used a handgun in the attack and that responding officers did not fire any shots at the scene.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said the state is ready to offer any additional support and added that “Our prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders.”
“As we learn more about the shooting in Aberdeen this morning, my heart is with those who were killed and their families, the victims who are injured, and the first responders on the scene,” Maryland Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous said in a statement. “Thank you to our law enforcement and emergency health professionals at local hospitals who are responding to this tragic shooting and working to keep the community as safe as possible.”
The sheriff’s department was asking people to avoid the area but now says there is no current threat to the public.
