EAST PRICE HILL, Ohio — A man was arrested in connection with a quadruple shooting in East Price Hill Thursday night.
Da’von Owens, 21, faces four counts of felonious assault in connection with the Glenway Avenue shooting.
Officials said it happened around 7 p.m. near Ross Avenue. Four men were found shot at the scene, and were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.
Of the four victims, two suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. Owens was arrested early Friday in connection with the shooting.
Several witnesses described a gruesome scene late Thursday.
“I (saw) the lady right there at that door, crying and screaming and hollering … and I (saw) a young man laying on the ground,” Sharon Johnson said.
Johnson pulled up to the unsettling scene when she arrived to pick up her granddaughter for a graduation. She said she found something much worse.
“I don’t know him, but it’s, like, when you have kids and grandkids yourself, it bothers you. It hurts to see people do this kind of stuff,” Johnson said.
She and others stood back as Cincinnati police scoured the scene for any clues in the shooting.
Much of the street was blocked off for hours while many people stood in shock. With temperatures rising, they hope this isn’t a preview of a violent summer.
“I’m tired of people killing one another. It’s just too much. Why do they have to do this? Why do people hate each other so much? Why do they.”
