4 injured in ‘drive-by’ shooting

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured four people Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting, described by Capt. Jake Ritonya as a drive-by, was reported around 2:30 p.m. near 48th and Boyd streets.
One of the four victims was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition; the other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Capt. Mark Matuza.
Donald Sandford, 54, was one victim who was shot at the scene, police said. He was taken to Nebraska Medicine.
The second victim, Laura Warbington, 36, was found near about one block west. She was also taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment, police said.
Police released a surveillance image of the getaway car. They say it may be a 2000-2002 Pontiac Sunfire sedan.
Police say the shooting injured Marcus Evans, 24, Blake Greene, 34, Laura Warbington, 36, and Donald Sandford, 54. Police believe all four victims will survive.
