NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Detectives are investigating a quadruple shooting in the Penrose neighborhood Friday.
The shooting happened just before 7 p.m. in the 4800 block of Farlin Ave. Upon arrival, officers located two adults and two children, a 5-year-old and 13-year-old, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said two black cars drove down the street and opened fire, striking the victims as they were getting out of a car.
The victims were transported to an area hospital.
Both adults and one of the children are listed in serious condition while the other child is in critical condition, police said.
“We have innocent victims, we have victims who were unintended targets and if we don’t have the information to solve that it makes it very difficult to figure out these relationships,” said St. Louis Police Department Captain Perri Johnson. ” Or who’s involved so we can cut down on whats going on here.”
According to authorities, multiple weapons are believed to have been used during the shooting.
Anyone with information is urged to contact local law enforcement.
