Scotland County, NC (WPDE) — Three people were injured and one died in a shooting Sunday evening in Laurinburg

The incident happened in the 17200 block of Lee’s Mill Road, according to Lt. Jessica Sadonikov with the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.

Scotland County EMS says two of the victims are in critical condition and were flown to trauma hospitals Monday for treatment. Authorities say all three are expected to survive. Their identities have not been released.

Scotland County Sheriff Capt. Jessica Sadonikov says the deceased, who lived at the home, is 31-year-old Brandon Brooks.

Capt. Sadonikov says Brooks’ infant child, who is less than 6-months-old, was at the home at the time of the shooting. The infant was not injured.

This is the second shooting in the county in the past two days. A 19-year-old pregnant woman died Friday after being shot in the Laurel Hill community of Scotland County.
