MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A house party in Hickory Hill turned into violence Saturday night, police said.

Five people were shot at a house in the 4200 block of Ladyslipper near Raines and Kirby Parkway.

Two of them, a male and female, were listed in critical condition.

The shooting happened as people were leaving a party around 9:40.

“It was like, ‘pop, pop, pop,” neighbor Charlene Allen said. “When the ambulance was coming I did see someone laying on the ground.”

She decided to call 911 after she saw people running out of the party.

“Halloween is supposed to be fun for kids,” Allen said.

Police describe the suspects as three men dressed in all-black clothing. The suspects ran from the scene after the shooting.

Police have not determined if the victims knew the suspects.
