WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Wednesday’s deputy-involved shooting on I-95 is tied to a shooting in West Palm Beach the day before. The shooting happened just after 1 p.m. along South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, a few blocks south of Forest Hill Boulevard near De Sota Road, according to a spokesman.

Police say a man suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He’s being treated at the hospital. Investigators believe the shooting victim is an acquaintance with the person who shot him. According to Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, the suspect in the shooting was shot and killed by a deputy on I-95 Wednesday morning.
